Before turning on your air conditioner this summer, make sure you clear away any debris, shrubs, or furniture away from your outdoor A/C unit. This will ensure that it doesn’t overheat and create problems throughout the HVAC system. For optimal use of your unit and to save you on energy costs and ensure the unit runs all summer, now is a good time to schedule your A/C tune up. Seasonal maintenance is an investment that always pays off.
- Replace Your HVAC Filters
As professionals who work with HVAC systems every day, we know the importance of changing air filters. We suggest that you inspect and replace your HVAC systems’ air filters at least once a month while using each system. Now is a great time to get a clean start and replace your filter!
- Clean Out Gutters
Known for being a typically dirty and time consuming job, gutter cleaning is never fun. However, the benefits are worth it. Debris buildup in your gutters can cause rain water to overflow and run down your siding, causing mold which is extremely damaging to your home. It can also damage your foundation over time. With that said, if you aren’t experienced working on rooftops or ladders, hire a professional to do this job to play it safe.
